Well, several financial statements have been issues lately. And yep, TILT was one of them. Which, I had a scan through this morning and simply ‘noped’ right on past them. At this point (with restatements) and given the cluster they’ve made for themselves, I think it’s best to let the froth settle for a moment.
In case you missed it, here’s a rundown of how it became so frothy. For people not accustomed to autopsies at first blush, they can be a little hard to take (at least during the first cut….heh). I’d suggest the reader get ready for some more alien autopsies in the future, there’s going to be meteor strikes a’plenty. There’s many full diapers in the trunks of several outfits, and shareholders should be concerned. Given market weakness and it’s continuance…$CRON’s reaction story relates a pretty nasty mood out there this morning.
It is nice to see independent folks popping out good questions (even if they didn’t close the loop on the snare).
I’d tossed what I thought was a grenade out before the last long weekend to see if anyone picked it up. That grenade? A company called ‘PT MASS’, which in March of last year held a modest 49.9% stake in ‘Massachusetts Organic Therapy’ – a little grow op and 2 dispensaries (which it had bought for $39k at the time. A scant 6 months later, that stake was bought for $46MM. The owner of an interest in ‘PT MASS’? The CEO of $CURA. From Twitter’s 14k impressions and several hundred engagements from the analytics….nothing of substance came back.
Are we at a saturation point of information overload and such cynical greed-driven-ennui that this doesn’t prompt a question in another person? I don’t know, the world’s a big place after all. But I do know TheCannalysts are seeing some things that aren’t being surfaced broadly until the horse has already bolted. I think of Sundial missing their EBITDA positive moment…. among many other examples.
I’ve been slammed with TheCannalysts’ White Paper on Legalization 2.0, but have a ream of articles and thoughts to bring you over the next while. They’ll need a bit of polishing yet though. The White Paper is coming along, and we believe it’s going to be interesting reading.
