Statistics Canada released Canadian recreational cannabis sales for the month.
Note: Previous month sales were reduced by $3.3 million ($2.9 million was Ontario), resulting in January 2021 MoM -6.7% versus originally reported -5.6%.

Note From December 2020 Update: We are pessimistic about January 2021 “growth”. A post-holiday decline (maybe double digits) might occur. Then with February being 3 days shorter, the MoM might not show an increase until March 2021 is reported in May 2021.
Daily purchase growth increased with +4.2% or $9.4 million/day or annualized $3.4 billion.
Annual growth per month on YoY basis is $111 million
