Statistics Canada released Canadian recreational cannabis sales for the month.

Note from December 2020 Update: We are pessimistic about January 2021 “growth”. A post-holiday decline (maybe double digits) might occur. Then with February being 3 days shorter, the MoM might not show an increase until March 2021 is reported in May 2021.
Well, we showed the increase as expected but did not summit previous high of December 31, 2020 of $297 million.
Daily purchase growth MoM increased with +2.8% or $9.6 million/day or annualized $3.5 billion.
Annual growth per month on YoY basis is $117 million
Ontario + $56 million
Alberta + $19 million
Quebec + $11 million
BC + $18 million
Month Over Month $’s delta by Province:
Quarterly Trailing 3-month daily sales evidence a +1.1% QoQ. Lowest on record QoQ growth and a 6-month sequential decline in Trailing Three Month sales.
